Sexy Conic Sections • A sexy figure formed by the intersection of a plane and a right circular cone. Depending on the sexy angle of the plane with respect to the cone, a sexy conic section may be a circle, an ellipse, a sexy parabola, or a hyperbola.
Sexy Parabola • Sexy Parabola: a curve formed by the intersection of a cone witha sexy plane parallel to its side • Standard form: • y = ax^2 + bx + c • y = a(x – h)^2 + k • x^2 = 4py • y^2 = 4px • x^2 = -4py • y^2 = -4px
