Achievements • Successful and full Authorisation from NHS England - CCG status 1st April 2013 • MCCG Governing Body Child Safeguarding Lead – Eleanor Brown • Clinical Quality Committee has a strong safeguarding focus - quarterly reports • CQC/Ofsted Inspection Actions completed – speeding up initial LAC health reviews within timescale - KPI embedded within contracts
Achievements • Recurring funding secured for two 1.0 WTE health navigator posts for MASH • Completed two PCT-led IMRs and one serious case review - learning shared, actions implemented • Completed Sec 11 Audit • Developing and refining the MCCG safeguarding children KPIs
Achievements • Parkside Private Hospital fully engaged • Wilson Walk-in-Centre – strengthening safeguarding arrangements • Joint working across SW London – Designated Nurses
Challenges • Interface of new health economy landscape (local, regional and national) • Munro Report – moving beyond tick box – focus on quality • Strengthening (joining dots) relationships/working across new commissioning bodies • e.g. CSU, NHS England, Public Health (LA), MCCG and Health Education England

Next Steps Commissioning intentions: • New Executive Children’s Commissioning Group • Self assessment under the new CQC inspection framework • Review of S&M Safeguarding Children Executive Group led to new Safeguarding Executive Group for MCCG - children and adults • Strengthening Clinical Quality Review Group for all providers • Refining and embedding MCCG Safeguarding KPIs
