  1. Cooling valve control Application: Opening and closing control of a cooling valve in the reactor zone. Product: 551 SIL Issue: The equipment was fitted with a ISO 1 standard distributor controlled by a solenoid valve Series 189. During a test operation, the valve is tight (the distributor is always energized in normal conditions, put on safety on closing during a power outage. ROI: We have developed, initially, the security aspect of a SIL approved product like the 551 spool valve. Then, due to difficulties in mounting a 551 spool valve instead of a 541 spool valve, we have increased the opportunities for complete refurbishment of the plate with equipment installed in our workshops. Customer benefits: Supply of a fitted and tested equipment, replacing the old plate with minimized intervention time onsite; system stopped for a short period. 1 - Industrial General & Special - 13/02/2013
