  5. Adjectives AdjectiveSthat follow a linking verbs are known as PREDICATE AdjectiveS. Nina felt sleepy. I was anxious to get home. • An Adjectivemay be more than one word. When such an Adjective comes before a noun, it is usually hyphenated. I get paid weekly at my part-time job. We bought three-sided tents.
