  4. II: Race Outcome （i）Taiwan became the fifth country worldwide to hold a complete around the country ultra marathon. （ii） Successfully raised up to 163 million NTD for the Taiwan Neuron Motor Disease Association

  5. （iii）There were 57 starters and 23 finishers, which included 16 foreigners and 7 female participants. The race had a finishing rate of 40%. （iv）As Taiwan’s first multi-day marathon,the participants and staff were able to gain the most unforgettable and valuable experience.It will forever remain as a momentous milestone for Taiwan’s Ultra running.

  6. （v）An exclusive mobile application was developed to track the runners during the race. This application is highly useful for monitoring and observing the race. It now serves as a essential tool for future marathons while also featuring Taiwan’s high-Tech industry. （vi）A feature documentary filmed by our team was published worldwide, allowing us to attain our vision of “ Connecting Taiwan’s Ultra running to the Global Society “

IV: Plans for Future Events （i）2014Run Across Taiwan Ultra-Marathon & 2015 Trans-Taiwan Ultra-Marathon; going step by step to achieve our target of completing a full round of our marathons every three years. （ii）There were many routes to choose from fro Run Across Taiwan Ultra-Marathon’s course, however because there were many factors that may influence the degree of the course, we chose the shortest possible route. We hope to announce the registration date for the upcoming race as soon as possible, and hold it at the end of March or beginning of April.

  14. （iii）We would like to hold a“Stage-less Tour de Taiwan Race” . The Association will only establish rules for the beginning and ending time, and the course for the race. The participants will be able to individually decide their own starting and finishing location, along with their starting time and distance each day. （iv）We have published“ Taiwan Ultramarathon Newsletter”，which starts from international ultra-marathon trends, sports medicine, training, going green and goes on to every other aspect related to ultra-running to enable fellow runners to expand their knowledge in this field. In addition, it serves as a significant approach to reaching our goal of connecting with the international ultra-running society.
