Nine Instructional Units Covered: • Unit 1 – Disaster Preparedness • Unit 2 – Fire Safety • Units 3 & 4 – Disaster Medical Operations • Unit 5 – Search and Rescue • Unit 6 – CERT Organization • Unit 7 – Disaster Psychology • Unit 8 – Terrorism • Unit 9 – Review & Exercise Cynthiana/Harrison County CERT Cynthiana, KY http://www.harrisonema.com/cert.aspx CERT Training CERT Training classes last a total of 30 hours, and are free to the general public.
CERT Operation • In the event of a disaster, CERT members are called upon to assist. • CERTs report to the parent sponsoring agency, and are deployed to needed areas. • Can provide First Aid, perform light Search and Rescue operations, and aid in assistance at shelters and checkpoints.
