CHAZ, In my industry as an insurance agent there are trade-offs that I and faced with every day to try and maximize my productivity and make the best use of my time. I often times have to focus on cost to the major detriment of the other two. Although schedule and performance in my projects are important the main focus in my industry is often times cost. Cost is the item that needs to be optimized most of the time because of the need to keep company costs low to offer the lowest rates to our customers. When one side of the triangle is a focus you have to accept that a trade off will occur. In this example the best way to describe the trade off is when I use phone appointments opposed to face to face. The reason this is such a trade off is because it keeps cost low but it makes it so I have to work around the customers schedule of when they are free and the success rate of phone conversations opposed to in person appointments is much worse.
