Canadian Landscapes Lee Farrer
v I chose this landscape because it reminds me of home. Whenever I would be driving anywhere, I used to look out the window and see all of the bright fields of yellow and the blue sky going on forever. Also, our family used to squish into the combine so we could give Dad company while he was farming. Whenever I see fields stretching for miles and not a cloud in the sky, I feel at home.
I chose this picture because it reminds me of when our family would take big road trips into the mountains for skiing and seeing our family. We would stay in the mountains for a week and go skiing in all of the fresh, powdery snow. The mountains seemed to close in on us and keeps us all together, making it seem like it was the only place in the world. I love the mountains because of their grandness and the memories I have with them.
I love this picture. I chose it because it is in my favourite season, winter, and it reminds me of home. I love all of the snow and the clear blue sky with the sunset. I would always curl up with a good book and hot chocolate when it was cold and crisp outside. I always look forward to when the weather is like this.
I like this photo because it reminds me when I would go to the lake for summer. When I was little, we would go to Chitek Lake with the Strautman’s for a couple weeks. We would go tubing, fishing, and have lots of bonfires. It was always a highlight of my summer. Now we go to Buffalo Pound each year with our boat. It is one of my favourite parts of summer.
My favourite part of the year is when the frost clings to the trees in the early morning. I love that feeling of waking up and seeing that everything has been covered with gleaming snow and frost. This picture reminds me of that and makes me happy. The snow is deep and covers everything, and the frost doesn’t leave a single branch bare. I love it when it looks like this outside.
