  27. The INSTITUTE for HABITS OF MIND

  28. “Basically, the Habits of Mind are a set of dispositions that describe an effective affecatious thinker. These are the attributes and the dispositions and the inclinations of the expert problem solver, the thoughtful decision maker, the creative thinker. The Habits of Mind are dispositions that people hold that guide their decisions in day to day life. What we would hope is that the Habits of Mind become like an internal compass that guide a person’s decisions as they are solving problems, as they are responding to conflicts and tensions in their environment, as they encounter problems that befuddle them. They are the skills and strategies that a person might use when they are confronted with problems the answers to which are not immediately known.” Arthur Costa Arthur Costa: ”So what are these Habits of Mind?”

  29. The HabitsofMind er de ferdigheter og strategier som en person vil kunne ta i bruk i problemløsningssitasjoner der det ikke er noen umiddelbar løsning… The HabitsofMind

  37. By pushing the right biological buttons in the brain, scientists are finding they can make the future brighter for many children whose development otherwise would have been stunted...... How the buttons work is perhaps the most amazing thing of all. The buttons are the senses: vision, taste, smell, touch and sound and they can be pushed by experiences from the outside world.
