Names Day-SWEDEN • A whole day to celebrate your name • The church held a festival for a saint of that name on that day
Kwanjula – UGANDA • Kwanjula = to introduce (Engagement celebration) • Before the ceremony - Ask for permission • Bride to be introduces her future husband • During the ceremony the future husband must prove that he will be a great husband • Last request from the groom is “O’kuzalibwamulujja” • Kwanjula is one of the most culturally and colorful displays of the richness of Ugandan culture
