This means more money. • The new stadiums can have features such as corporate hospitality boxes, bars, restaurants, gyms, shops and can be used as a concert arena. • Building a new stadium is a sign of ambition. Clubs with new stadiums have often gone on to gain promotion. Examples are Stoke City and Hull City.

The new City stadium will have a capacity of about 30,000 and will cost £65 million. The new Rovers stadium will have a capacity of about 20,000 and will cost about £60 million. • The existing stadiums could be updated with a few new stands. • New stadiums are very expensive. Can both clubs afford them?
