Introduction The purpose of this presentation is to introduce incoming college students to available academic sources. Arizona State University Library website has access to a wide selection of books, CDs, DVDs, articles, and special collections. The library also provide service to student as copying/printing, course reserves, media booking, and request material. As you continue with the presentation, I will demonstrate how to retrieve the Library website, access the online database, locate a publication, and use Refworks to document sources.
Locating the Library website 3. Click the first link called: ASU Libraries http://lib.asu.edu/ The next page to be uploaded is the image aside, which is the homepage.
Accessing the Online Database Find the best resources on a specific area. An online database will show you which journals and magazines have articles on your topic.
Locating a Publication Many publications are found using ASU database. This is an excellent academic source. .
Using RefWorks to Document Sources Using Reworks can create your own personal database to document sources.
