  1. Camp G.L.O.W. Girls. Leading. Our. World.

  2. What is Camp G.L.O.W.? • The goal of Camp GLOW is to encourage the young women of Azerbaijan to become active citizens by: • cultivating self-esteem and confidence • increasing self-awareness • developing skills in goal setting, leadership, assertiveness, and career and life planning.

  3. Who will attend Camp G.L.O.W.? • 48 campers (students in 8th and 9th form) • Junior counselors (girls who have previously attended GLOW) • Azerbaijani counterparts • 10 Azerbaijani camp counselors who will lead daily sessions and activities, and will mentor and supervise a group of girls • American camp counselors, (female Peace Corps Volunteers) will help to run camp GLOW • Guest Speakers

Objectives for participants in G.L.O.W. • To create a sense of civic responsibility, creativity, equality, and leadership in a safe environment • To train participants on developing and implementing community development projects within their own community • Skill and knowledge transfer to participants to ensure sustainability of camp

  5. G.L.O.W. Azerbaijan • GLOW Azerbaijan has operated yearly since 2005 • GLOW Azerbaijan is part of a larger network of international GLOW camps, which runs these girls’ empowerment camps each year • Each camper only pays a small fee for one week of camp!

  6. Camp Information • CAMP DATES: July 29 - August 3 • Location: (TO BE DECIDED) Gabalaor Ismayilli • CAMP FEE: 10 AZN Camp
