Writing A Review • Reviews describe the things they evaluate (description). • Evaluation criteria must match your purpose, category, and audience. • Include feelings towards your subject but they are not enough (opinions). • Judgments range from overall assessment to more specific commentary. • Reviews attempt to offer a balanced assessment (include some positives on the subject). • Evidence & relevant comparisons form the backbone of the review.
