  2. 1. • Each person with an intellectual disability has a storyand everyone must be given the time and the place to tell their story. • Svaka osoba s intelektualnim teškoćama ima svoju priču i svakome se treba omogućiti vrijeme i mjesto da ispriča svoju priču.

  3. 2. • When documenting stories of people with intellectual disabilities, the stories of all people with disabilities are documented, no matter the gravity of their disability. • Kada se dokumentiraju priče ljudi s intelektualnim teškoćama, dokumentiraju se priče svih ljudi bez obzira na stupanj njihovih teškoća.

  4. 3. • There is preparation time before documenting the stories of people with intellectual disabilities, so that everybody has time to understand the process. • Kako bi svi samozastupnici dobro razumjeli o čemu se radi, prije dokumentiranja njihovih priča potrebno je odvojiti dovoljno vremena za pripremu svakog samozastupnika.

  5. 4. • If someone wants to record you, they must ask permission: including video camera, still camera, note taking, tape recorder. • Ako te netko želi snimiti, mora te pitati za dopuštenje za snimanje. To se odnosi na snimanje: video kamerom, foto aparatom, diktafonom ili na zapisivanje tvojih riječi.

  6. 5. • Each person is free to decide if s/he wants to be recorded or not. • Svaka osoba može slobodno odlučiti želi li se snimati ili ne.

  7. 6. • If someone wants to record you in any way, ask them why they want to record you. • Ako te netko želi snimiti na bili koji način, pitaj ih zašto te žele snimiti.

  8. 7. • A person recording a story must know and be able to explain why they are making the recording, with specific advocacy goals in mind. • Osoba koja snima priču mora ti znati objasniti zašto se tvoja priča snima. Mora ti objasniti koje ciljeve želi zagovarati s tvojom pričom.

  9. 8. • Every story is a story, no matter how it is being communicated. • Svaka priča je priča, bez obzira na koji je način komuniciramo.

  10. 9. • All forms of communicating a story are of equal value. • Sve vrste komuniciranja priče jednako su vrijedne.

  11. 10. • If someone needs help telling their story: offer it. • Ako je nekome potrebna pomoću u pričanju njegove priče: ponudite je.

  12. 11. • If someone needs help telling their story: they should not be ashamed to ask for it. • Ako nekome treba pomoć u pričanju njegove priče: ne treba se sramiti pitati za pomoć.

  13. 12. • Informed consent must be obtained in written, audio or video form. • Informirani pristanak mora biti zabilježen u pisanom, audio ili video obliku.

  14. 13. • The documenter must re-obtain consent before any document is releasedinto the public sphere. • Osoba koja snima priču mora ponovo zatražiti pristanak osobe prije nego se njena priča objavi u javnosti.

  15. 14. • Each person is free to invite anybody s/he wants to be a witness. • Svatko po svojoj želji može slobodno pozvati bilo koju osobu koja će mu/joj biti svjedok u pričanju priče.

  16. 15. • Each self-advocate has the right to receive support in inviting witnesses. • Ako samozastupnik to želi ima pravo na podršku u pozivanju svjedoka.

  17. 16. • If the whole group agrees they can create a common invitation for inviting witnesses. • Ako se svi ljudi tako dogovore mogu se izraditi zajedničke pozivnice za pozivanje svjedoka.
