Chemical building blocks During the last decades, the synthesis of building blocks has been explored by numerous groups, which are used in pharmaceutical products and other biologically active substances. Building blocks are important intermediates for many drugs and have major significance in the discovery and synthesis of drugs. Further building blocks as intermediates can be used to synthesize the subsequent drugs or compounds, which can improve or change the properties of the drugs or compounds.
