Objective and Challenge • Objective • develop a methodology to prepare pulp fibre samples for direct interfibre wet friction measurement. • Challenge • mounting pulp fibres, on a solid surface using adhesives without contaminating the fibre surface. • The height of the adhesive material should be only a couple of micrometres.

  3. Methods • Universal Surface Tester (INNOWEP GmbH, Germany) will be used for measurement of interfibre wet friction. • TUT’s flexible microrobotic platform is used for sample preparation.
