  3. About Us: • We are a small drop in the Ocean. Each member of the Group contribute as drop of the Ocean in all our actions. Our objective is to empower our Community, People & State by all means. • A voluntary Non-Profit Registered Trust, which is also online Yahoo Group engaged in the upliftment of less privileged section of Uttarakhand State. • We help in bringing all Uttarakhandis under one single roof, who stay far away from the motherland. • Founded in October 2004 by Shri K. S. Rawat in New Delhi. • PG Group is Registered with the Registrar of Delhi. • PG Group has been accorded exemption for receiving funds under Section 80-G of Income Tax. • PG Group is having bank account maintained with AXIS BANK, Rajendra Nagar, New Delhi. • We do not have any financial source, all our initiatives are driven by our members. Way So Far-Mission Accomplishment: GIC PURYADAANG Awareness cum Sponsorship Camps -First Camp (July, 2006) AWARENESS: • First Awareness cum Sponsorship Camp was held at Government Inter College, Puryadaang, Patty Maniyarsuin (E), District – Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand on 29th July, 2006. • Brief overview of the camp is as follows - A Team of 10 members visited to School for holding the awareness sessions. -- Topics of Awareness Sessions were Education, Career, Health, Information & communication, Social evils, Self employment, Usages of Natural Resources, Natural calamities etc. SPONSORSHIP • 9 (NINE) needy students were identified for scholarship Programme. www.paurigarhwal.com

Way So Far-Mission Accomplishment: GIC GAIRSAIN, CHAMOLI Awareness cum Sponsorship Camps –Second Camp (July, 2007) AWARENESS: • Second Awareness cum Sponsorship Camp was held at Government Inter College, Gairsain, Chamoli District, Uttarakhand on 21st July, 2007. • Brief overview of the camp is as follows - A Team of 14 members visited to School for holding the awareness sessions. -- Topics of Awareness Sessions were Education, Career, Health, Information & communication, Social evils, Self employment, Usages of Natural Resources, Natural calamities etc. SPONSORSHIP • 12 (TWELVE) needy students were identified for scholarship Programme. www.paurigarhwal.com

  21. Merit Certificates & Cash Rewards PG Group’s “ Shyama Devi Merit Awards” Sponsored by Shri. M. L. Kundaliya, Mumbai • PG Group member, Shri M. L. Kundaliya from Mumbai has taken an initiative to reward the 1st three toppers of 12th & 10th stream of Pokhra Inter College “Under The Banner of PG Group”. • This was first introduced in 2009 and since then Certificates and Awards have been given in 2010 and 2011 (3 years continuously) PG Group team visit to the school and give away the certificates and awards. So far PG Group with the support of Shri M.L. Kundaliya, Mumbai has spent Rs.65000/- on this motivation project of PG Group. www.paurigarhwal.com

  22. Books to Schools–9th to 12th Standards Students PG Group’s “ Donate Books to Schools” Sponsored by Shri. Jagdish Sajwan from Mumbai • PG Group member, Shri Jagdish Sajwan from Mumbai has taken an initiative to give free books to 9th to 12th standard students of Lwali School “Under The Banner of PG Group”. • PG Group provides the finanacial help to the school for providing free books to the students of 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th standard school students. Shri Jagdish Semwal will be contributing approx. Rs.5334/- every year for this novel cause under “Books to Schools” project of PG Group. www.paurigarhwal.com

  23. Educational Tour – Students of Uttarakhand to Metro Schools /Cities.!! PG Group’s “ Student Interaction Tour” Managed by Shri. Subhash Dabral from New Delhi • PG Group member, Shri Subhash Dabral from New Delhi has taken an initiative to provide EDUCATIONAL TOUR to Uttarakhand School Students. • In this initiative, he had organized an Educational Tour for Uttarakhandi School Children to Delhi from 24th November, 2011 to 26th November, 2011. • The group enjoyed the ride of world class Metro . All the students were travelling in Delhi Metro first time. • These students are from the remote areas of Uttarakhand & 8 students from the group travelled first time in their life by train (from Kotdwar to Delhi). Mr. J.P Dabral (Eminent Environmentalist) & Mr. Sudan Dabral has provided their full support and help to Shri Subhash Dabral for organizing this event. www.paurigarhwal.com

Computers to Schools in Uttarakhand As part of PG Group initiative of spreading awareness on computer education, PG Group members have donated computers to the needy schools in Uttarakhand. • Computer donated by PG Group Member: Shri Arun Kavtiyal. He has also imparted some computer training to this school in April 2009. • Computer donated by PG Group member: Shri B. R. Joshi in 2011. • Computer donated by: K.S.   26. Interaction with Students in Uttarakhand Hills 2009 PG Group Team : Shri J.S. Bisht & Dr. Juyal (22nd to 26 Oct’2009) (Schools Covered : Khadrasi, Nainidanda, Dhumakot, Sidhkhal, Adariyakhal, Dabari, Rikhnikhal & Kartiya of Nainidanda, Jahrikhal & Rikhnikhal Blocks) • The interaction took place in class room atmosphere on the role of education in shaping the future of students and importance of the awareness of the parents, opportunities available after class XII and why students should fix the goals for their future and where they are likely to stand. • A questionnaire for the purpose of parents was also made available which covered various issues including education and rural development. • Visiting team member’s impression was that this type of outside inputs can motivate the students at large. • During Team’s visit, they interacted with students of IX & XII of 8 schools/Inter Colleges. • Team has suggested that similar interaction should be arranged for the students of VI and VIII. www.paurigarhwal.com

  27. Interaction with Students in Uttarakhand Hills - 2010 PG Group Leaders Team : Shri J.S. Bisht & Dr. Juyal (17th April’10 to 1st May, 2010) (Schools Covered : Bhatroachkhal, Bhikiasain, Vinoli, Masi Inter College, Manila, Hinola, Pasia, Adalikhal, Dhumakot, Nainidanda, Handukhal, Kilbokhal, Khimakhet, Chokod, Sidhkhal, Rikhnikhal, Dabri, Dhobighat & Sidhkhal) • Checked impact of the last interaction sessions taken by the team in 2009. • Again the interaction took place in class room atmosphere on the role of education in shaping the future of students and importance of the awareness of the parents, opportunities available after class XII and why students should fix the goals for their future and where they are likely to stand. • A questionnaire for the purpose of parents was also made available which covered various issues including education and rural development. • Visiting team member’s impression was that this type of outside inputs can motivate the students at large. • Topic covered were: Need of education, Role of teachers and parents, Setting of goals by students, Know how of computers etc. • Team has suggested that similar interaction should be arranged for the students of VI and VIII. www.paurigarhwal.com

  28. Interaction with Students in Uttarakhand Hills - 2011 PG Group Leaders Team : Shri J.S. Bisht & Team (28th October’11 to 9th November, 2011) (Schools Covered : Kotwali Dehat, Satpuli, Reethakhal, Sanglakoti, Kunjkhal, Kwalakhal, Pokhra, Bedikhal, Baijru, Dhumakot & Adalikhal) • Interaction with teachers, Principals, students and parents. Team was happy to note that some parents were found very keen about the future of their children and few of them were of the view that migration is not necessary for a good education. This thinking needs to be strengthened by those who are directly or indirectly associated with education in rural India. This will have a positive bearing on the future of students residing in remote villages. • A questionnaire for the purpose of parents was also made available which covered various issues including education and rural development. • In some schools meeting was held on 28 Oct at 7.00 pm. Nearly hundred parents and students attended the meeting and it lasted till 9.00 pm. This made team’s visit  adventurous/ innovative and remarkable. • Topic covered were: Need of education, Role of teachers and parents, Setting of goals by students, Know how of computers etc. www.paurigarhwal.com

  29. Poor Senior Citizen Sponsorship Programme: In the Masi Project, PG Group has identified 2 female senior citizens for our Sponsorship Programme. The criteria for identifying them was: - Shunned individual / parents, who do not have any one to look after them. - Individual / Parents, who do not have any source of income. ********************** PG Group has released Rs.500/-(Rupees Five Hundred Only) per head per month to these sponsored senior citizens. Annual effect @ Rs.12000/- (Rupees Twelve Thousand Only) for the year 2009-2010. www.paurigarhwal.com

Poor Shunned Individual / Family Sponsorship Programme: In this project, during Lwali School visit (April 2009), PG Group has donated Rs.30,000/- to the 5 Orphan sisters who were at the edge of starvation & the condition of these girls was very pathetic. PGG members have shown the courage to help these poor sisters of our community. ********************** www.paurigarhwal.com

  31. Poor Shunned Individual / Financial Help..!! Financial help : Marriage of Ms. Pooja Sati ************** Smt. Saroj Sati from Chamoli Garhwal who lives with her family at Nagal Raya in New Delhi was provided financial help of around Rs.35000/- for her daughter’s marriage (Feb’12). Her husband had died in Oct’11 due to long illness. He was working in a private company and was earning around 4k per month. She has 4 daughters and 1st daughter’s marriage has been fixed by them in Feb’12 so she badly needed some help, which group has provided to her. In January 2012, contribution for this cause was received from : Dr. Prem Joshi, Shri Arun Sharma, Dr. K. K. Pandey and Shri Rajpal. www.paurigarhwal.com

Way So Far-Mission Accomplishment (Medical Help): FUND SUPPORT FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT – Shri Manmohan Singh Sajwan & his wife Vill – Ganga Bhogpur, Yamkeswar Block • Provided financial support to Shri Manmohan Singh Sajwan for treatment of both – husband & wife. Rs.106200/- (One Lacs Six Thousand & Two Hundred Only) was released to the family in Dec’2009. • PG Group member, Shri Manoj Kukreti has arranged most of the amount for this purpose and had visited to the family on 24th Dec’2009 at their native place in Garhwal and given the cheque issued by the PG Group. www.paurigarhwal.com

Way So Far-Mission Accomplishment (Medical Help): FUND SUPPORT FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT – Master Mohit’s Operation • Master Mohit’s family was badly needed the money for his treatment as Master Mohit was having a big hole in his heart. PG Group members came forward and helped this 2-3 years boy who was new to this world. • PG Group platform has provided financial support to the family of Master Mohit for his operation and donated Rs.23500/- (Twenty Three Thousand & Five Hundred Only). • PG Group member, Shri Anil Gwadi’s work in this regard is much appreciable. Now Master Mohit is doing fine after his treatment/operation & we all at PG Group wish him good luck for his future. www.paurigarhwal.com

  34. Way So Far-Mission Accomplishment (Medical Help): FUND SUPPORT FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT – MR. MANIRAM KALA, MUMBAI • Provided financial support to Mr. Mani Ram Kala of Mumbai for treatment of his kidneys.
