Major Focus for Project Closure • Assure on-time deliverable • Careful monitoring of status • Portion completion • Technical editing • Technical review • Final production • Assure completion within budget • Budget to completion • Track material, ODC and subcontract payments • Reserve for delayed billing/reserve changes • Assure customer needs are met • Any final briefings necessary? • Future planning support?
Where is the Follow-On Effort? • Each contract provides opportunity • Understand client needs as well as their organization needs • Demonstrate valuable, reliable, cost-effective contract support • Provide proactive solutions to evolving requirements • How can ARA further support this client/organization? • Suggest solutions to needs outside of contract • Arrange to meet other organization program leaders • Arrange meetings with other relevant ARA units Why haven’t we been thinking about this from the start?
ARA Requirements for Project Closure • Quality review of final product • Project closeout in E-office • Document delivery of final product • Notification of project completion before final billing • Customer feedback on performance • Lessons learned • Proper disposal of GFE, classified information
