Every Kiwanis club is urged to conduct at least one major Young Children: Priority One project each year. DIVISION COUNCIL MEETING Another important DCM is coming up on Tuesday, July 28th--at the CRAB CAKE FACTORY located in Beach Plaza  on the south side of Beach Blvd. between 12th St. and Penman Rd. (It's the last unit on the right (west) in Beach Plaza.) In addition to a great meal ($23), good Kiwanis fellowship, and updates on Kiwanis Division 5 activities, you will want to look over the Crab Cake Factory as one of the potential new Beaches Club meeting sites.   Advise Al Russ or Bill Montgomery that you (and hopefully, your spouse) will be able to attend. Bill Montgomery Paul Halter, President of Deerwood Club Samir Maignan hosted by Gary Crumley Good afternoon Division 5, I wanted to update you on a few changes to the DCM that will be held on Tuesday, July 28th. The meeting location will be at the Crab Cake Factory Restaurant located at 1396 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach 32250-5447, not at Windsor Parke. The Kiwanis Club of Jacksonville Beaches remains as our host. You should go to the Jax Beaches website (www.beacheskiwanis.com) for details about the restaurant including a map. The cost for the meal is $23.00 per person. All checks should be made payable to the Kiwanis Club of Jacksonville Beaches.There will be a limited but nice set of dinner options from the menu. Wehope to have the details about the dinner options by next week. The social will begin at 6:00 pm (not 5:15 pm) with the meeting starting at7:00 pm (not 6:30 pm). During the social (6:00 pm to 7:00 pm), cocktails(cash bar) and some free appetizers will be available. The meeting is toconclude at 8:30 pm. Currently, I will need a firm attendance number from each club by Thursday, July 23rd. If your club actually has a lower number attend the DCM than your confirmed number you gave to me on July 23rd, your club will be responsible for the 7/23/09 confirmed number. Therefore, please be sure of your attendance number on July 23rd. Eddie Lee and Ed Ethington will be available to speak to you about their campaign for the Florida Kiwanis District Treasurer position during the social hour and after the meeting only. The meeting itself will be devoted to Division 5 year-end issues, Florida Kiwanis District issues and Kiwanis International issues.
