4. کیا میں محمان آیا نہیں ہوں،کیا میں زہرہ کا جايا نہیں ہوں Kyameinmehmaanaayanahinhoon? KyameinZehrakajayanahinhoon? Did I not come here as a guest? And am I not the son of Zehra?

9. دسترس میں میری کیا نہیں، علم تقویٰ شجاعت یقینمیرے پیروں کے نیچے زمین، جس پہ رکھیں فرشتے جبیں Dastarasmeinmerikyanahin, ilmtaqwashuja’atyaqeen Meraypaironkeneechayzameen, jisperakhainfarishtayjabeen In distress what do I have with me, just knowledge, piety, courage and belief This ground beneath my feet, is where the angels prostrate

10. میں ہی سردار اہل جنہ ہوں، کوئی ٹوٹا ستارہ نہیں ہوں Mein hi sardar-e-ahl-e-jannahhoon, koi tootasitaranahinhoon I am the leader of the people of paradise, not a fallen star

12. تم نے مطلوب لکھے کئی، آئیے جلد ابن علیدین کی روشنی کم ہوئی، شمع اسلام بجھنے لگی Tum ne matlooblikhaykai, aayiyejaldIbn-e-Ali Deenkiroshnikamhui, sham-e-Islam bujhnaylagi You wrote me many invitations, come quickly son of Ali The light of religion has diminished, and the flame of Islam is going out

13. تم نے چاہا تھا میں آ گیا ہوں، خود مدینہ سے آیا نہیں ہوں Tum ne chahathameinagayahoon, khudMedinay se aayanahinhoon You wanted it, so I have come, I did not come here of my own desire

15. میری گردن پہ خنجر چلے، آگ لگتی ہے گھر میں لگےبنت زہرہ کی چادر چھنے، ہاتھ دوں گا نہ اپنا تجھے Merigardanpekhanjarchalay, aaglagtihaigharmeinlagay Bint-e-Zahra kichadarchinay, haathdoonganaapnatujhay Whether a dagger severs my neck, or my house gets burnt down Or the shroud of Zehra’s daughter gets taken, I will not give my hand in allegience to you

18. حکم عبّاس کو دوں اگر، نہر لے آۓ وہ چھینکرکربلہ ہو گی زیرو زبر، لاشیں تیریں گی ہر موج پر Hukm Abbas kodoon agar, nehr le aayewohcheenkar Karbala ho gizer-o-zabar, laashaintairaingiharmauj par If I give Abbas the command, he will go and win the river Karbala will be devastated, and there will be bodies everywhere

19. میں نہیں چاہتا جنگ کرنا، فوج لڑنے کو لایانہیں ہوں Mein nahinchahtajangkarna, faujlarnaykolayanahinhoon I did not come here to fight a battle, and I have not brought any army with me
