Who Are We? High Point Regional Health System is a 400 bed not-for-profit Community Health System. Our mission is to provide exceptional health services to the people of our region. About our organization… • Joint Commission Accredited. • Just received our 3rd consecutive ANCC Magnet Hospital designation. • Is a Level III Trauma Center. • Received the Joint Commission's Certificate of Distinction for Primary Stroke Centers • Is accredited by the Society of Chest Pain Centers • Has a cancer program accredited by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. • Has been recognized by the North Carolina Awards for Excellence program on its continuous improvement journey with the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Program. and…. • Is pursuing it’s 3rd Adult Medical Inpatient Rehabilitation CARF accreditation!
Our Inpatient Rehab Center • 16 bed unit, opened it’s doors in October, 2003. • Average census 13-14 patients • Most common patient types: stroke, hip fracture, general debilitation, neurological conditions, and many others. • Team lead by Dr. John Begovich, winner of the 2010 physician ‘Target Excellence Ambassador Award’ for outstanding patient care and service.
Our Strengths… • Service Excellence (sustained 99th percentile Press Ganey patient satisfaction scores) driven by patient-centered care provided by talented, committed, engaged frontline staff. • Team environment with near zero turnover, historically highest staff satisfaction in our health system. • Accomplishing primary goal, nearly 85% of patients discharged to community setting. • Staff involvement in performance improvement activities, lead by two Lean Six Sigma Green Belts. • Top 10% in nation twice in last four years on Program Evaluation Model (UDSMR) performance – primary outcomes marker. • 75% of full-time nursing staff are CRRN rehab nurse certified by the Association of Rehab Nurses. • Community outreach efforts.
How CARF has touched us… • We’ve expanded our Accessibility. • We’ve reached beyond the walls of our unit to touch our community. • We’ve improved the quality of the services we provide, and how we provide them to better meet the needs of the person served. • We better inform, educate, and involve our patients, support system members, care partners and other stakeholders in their care. • Our staff are better prepared to provide exceptional rehab care to our patients.
