Fun facts • Since it is so close to the Sun we don’t know a lot about Mercury • It is only 35,983,095 miles from the Sun • It has very little gravity, it also is very hot during the day and extremely cold at night so people could never live there • Even though Mercury is small than Earth in size it weighs more than Earth because it is made of Iron • It would take 18 Mercury's to be as big as Earth
Facts • Mercury doesn’t have any rings • Only two spacecraft have visited this rocky planet: and MESSENGER, which flew past Mercury three times before going into orbit around Mercury in 2011. • Daytime Temperatures on Mercury can get up to 800 degrees Fahrenheit and down to -290 degrees Fahrenheit
