  4. July 23, 1914 A-H gives an ultimatum to Serbia…Serbia refuses and A-H declares war on Serbia (Nationalism)

  5. Russia owned Serbia so they had no choice but to react. They declare war on A-H and her ally Germany. (Imperialism)

  6. Germany issues an ultimatum to Russia and her ally France…they both refuse and Germany declares war on both Russia and France (Alliances)

  7. Germany attacks Belgium, a neutral country, in an attempt to intimidate Britain. Belgium begs for help from BR and they declare war on Germany (Industrialization

  8. Alliances, Imperialism, Industrialization, and Nationalism had caused a simple dispute in the Balkans to escalate into a global conflict with no clear objective (answer to the EQ)
