Early Report on the Spectral Survey of Mixed-Morphology SNRs with Suzaku Koyama, K. , Sawada, M. , Nobukawa, M. , Ohnishi, T., * Yamaguchi, H.# * Department of Physics, Kyoto University#RIKEN RP (Recombining Plasma ) = Over-Ionized Plasma IPPlasma (Ionizing Plasma) = Under-Ionized Plasma Examples of RP (kTe < kTz) SNRs:IC443, W49B IC443 W49B 2 3 4 5 6
The other examples of RP-SNRs:G359.1-0.5, G346.6-0.1, W44, W28. All but G346.5-0.1 are the TeV/GeV Sources kTe=0.47 kTz= 0.96 W28 W44 kTe=0.55 kTz=0.71 G359.1-0.5 kTe=0.32 kTz=1.1 G346.6-0.1
Possible Origin of Recombining Plasma (RP) (1) kTz > kTe byPhoto-ionization such as GRB/Afterglow: W49B (2) kTe is cooled by thermal conduction to clouds. (3) Explosion in a dense CSM (high kT CIE plasma) break-out to the ISM kTe is cooled by adiabatic expansion. (4) Ionization by supra /non-thermal electrons (big solar flares: RP + hard X-ray tail
IC443 (RP) Hint of RRC=RP W28 (RP) Galactic Bulge (l, b)=(-0.1, -1.4) similar to RP-SNRs
Examples of non-RP (kTe >= kTz) SNRs: 3C379, 3C391 and G344.7-0.1, G348.5+0.1 3C391 3C379 Strong Al Fe Lines Strong Cr, Mn , Fe , Ni Lines G344.7 G348.5
The other examples of Non-RP SNRs: G355.6-0.0, Kes 79 and W51C. G348.5 and W51C are possibly associated with TeV/GeV Sources Kes 79 G355.6-0.0: kT=0.6 keV W51C
