  3. 2008 WORKPLAN BASED UPON • Strategic Plan • Action Plan 2006 - 2008 • Initiatives raised by CLO, TFs (AD..) OPEN for: • Your Input, revisions Does not include: • Elaboration of projects which will be led by NALAS members

  4. 2008 WORKPLAN - OVERVIEW • Coordinate Implementation of TF projects • Develop new projects • Process TF products through KNC • Introduction of new programs (Quick Response, Internship, etc)

  5. 2008 WORKPLAN - TASK FORCES Regular meetings of Task Forces: 5 TFs x 3 meetings = 15 meetings Role of the TFs: • Monitor implementation of projects • Review draft products of TF projects • Develop new projects • Maintain inventory of problems • Respond to other members requests

  6. 2008 WORKPLAN – ASSOCIATION DEVELOPMENT Quick Response to Members Requests Why important? • Adapt to dynamics • Quick mobilization of available know how Activities: • Develop application package, announce • “Role of LGAs in training” • “Financial Sustainability of LGAs” • “Workshop: Project Planning / EU Funding”

  7. 2008 WORKPLAN – ASSOCIATION DEVELOPMENT SHADOWING / Internship Program Why important? • Exchange of experience at all levels • Beneficial for “weak” and “strong” LGAs Meetings of LGAs staff Why important? • Depth of the Networking • Develop professional standards Other Initiatives • Peer Review (Center for Expertise) • EU Integration (LOGON, Austrian Association of Cities)
