Why eat in the middle of the day? • Because we need to consume different combinations of carbohydrates and sugars and things to function internally on a continual cycle since our body uses what we eat to survive so it’s continually needing to be refilled • For energy • To spend time with other people • To sit down and chill out from the insanity we do that wears us out • To enjoy delicious recipes created by ourselves or others
Places to eat • Home • School cafeteria (works best for those in grades kindergarten to twelve) • Restaurant or trendy little coffee shop/sandwich place, or Chipotle • Outside (best in months not including snow, i.e April –November) • At a friend’s
Different ideas to try out • You could do themed lunches – i.e. native american lunch day and so you eat buffalo, or just go to buffalo wild wings • Share with a friend- each could contribute i.e. one makes sandwiches and another brings drinks/pretzels • Try to minimize cost if you eat out for lunch everyday, like bringing canned goods you never use to Fazoli’s for a free small spaghetti with your choice of meat or marinara sauce
