International and Regional Cooperation Malaysia is receiving seismic waveform data from USGS, IRIS, Singapore,Australia and CTBTO through Internet in near real-time. VSAT link to BMG, Indonesia, has established for data exchange. Malaysia is already contributing real-time waveform data from its 7 broadband stations for regional and international exchange: KUM (Kulim) IPM (Ipoh) KOM (Kota Tinggi) KSM (Kuching) SBM (Sibu) - KKM (Kota Kinabalu) LDM (Lahad Datu)
Conclusion We need International and Regional Cooperation in order to enhance our seismic monitoring system. Malaysia fully support and reaffirm our commitment to an open, free and unrestricted sharing of real-time seismic data, regionally and internationally.
