2. Direct Objects • Diagram each part of these English sentences: I want that skirt. I bought some shoes. • What is the subject, the verb, the direct object?

3. Direct Object Pronouns • Direct objects receive the action of the verb. • Direct objects respond to the questions whom? or what? • Direct object pronounstake the place of the direct object in a sentence. For example:

8. Placement of Direct Object Pronouns • Direct Object Pronouns in Spanish are placed either before a conjugated verb or attached to the end of an infinitive.

9. Before the Conjugated Verb: • ¿Cuándo compras elboleto? • Lo compro esta tarde.

10. If the sentence is negative place the no before the DOP. • ¿Necesitas el itinerario? • No, no lonecesito.

11. Before the Conjugated Verb • Isabel, ¿tienes mi tarjeta de embarque? • No, no la tengo.
