“OPERATIONS” Directorate The " Law on Defence and Armed Forces “ of the Republic of Bulgaria defines the basic principles in the military registers, structure and training as well as responsibilities and obligations of organizations and government officials with regard to mobilization and military registers.
“OPERATIONS” Directorate The main function of the Reserve is to ensurethe organizational increase of the country’s capabilitiesand to guaranteethe accomplishment of the following missions by the Armed Forces: - Defence mission; - Support to international peace and security; - Contribution to national security in peacetime.
J1 “OPERATIONS” Directorate Participation in the coalition for stabilization of post-war Iraq: • 19 Reserve officers; • 56 Reserve NCOs; • 29 Reserve soldiers; 104 Reservists in total

“OPERATIONS” Directorate The Reserve of the Armed Forces is subdivided into: 1. Permanent Reserve; 2. Mobilization Reserve.
“OPERATIONS” Directorate • The Reserve Service comprises: • Implementation of duties for maintaining readiness for activation; • Training and improvement of military qualification; • Implementation of duties in the Armed Forces in peace- and wartime.
