Overview • The final design will be a 12 ft long, 4 ft tall and 5 in think board positioned at angles. • The panels on the ends of the board will be slightly shorter so that children in wheelchairs will be able to roll underneath them and have an opportunity to enjoy all of the activities. Napoli, Smith, Wakefield
Overview • Panel 1-A: Music Panel • Panel 1-B: Memory Game • Panel 2-A: Sonar Panel • Panel 2-B: Wheel Game • Panel 3-A: Create-A-Picture • Panel 3-B: Communication Panel Napoli, Smith, Wakefield
Completed work • Got in HDPE • Ordered rivets and memory game buttons • Ordered LEDs and music buttons • Bought plexiglass, pvc pipes and scales for wheel game and music panel • Had meeting with Adams Adventure board • Built Music Panel circuitry and tested CAP buttons
Successes • Finally got in the HDPE • Got $50 off for the push buttons • Found a more cost effective option to mount the braille boards to the HDPE • Found an option to cover the memory game buttons • Music Panel is working, just need to test it with speakers
Drawbacks • Budget is getting very tight • Create-A-Picture is difficult to make circuitry for • Limited time to put everything together • Posts might come in last minute • Had to buy a couple more Braille sheets • Music panel pushbuttons are backordered
Future work • See timeline on website
