FSK PHY for TG4m (1) • FSK based NB PHY • Cover the lower data rate, e.g., 50Kbps ~ 200Kbps • Interoperability • Consider 900MHz SUN • Propose to use basically TG4g FSK PHY • Propose to include some reliability enhancing features (ETRI)
FSK PHY for TG4m (2) • Modulation & channel parameters • Mode #1 & #3: same as TG4g • Mode #2: 150Kbps (TG4g) 100Kbps (ETRI)
FSK PHY for TG4m (3) • Reliability enhancing features: PHY header • PHR in TG4g FSK PHY • Propose to use one of reserved bits as a parity bit • Simply detect PHR error to stop demodulation process (ETRI)
FSK PHY for TG4m (4) • Reliability enhancing features: FEC • TG4g FEC • Convolutional code with K=4 • It is hard to achieve the theoretical FEC gain in FSK system • TG4m FEC • Propose to use convolutional code with K=7 for better performance • Reliability enhancing features: Spreading • Propose to use spreading scheme in LECIM FSK PHY (15-12-0089-05) (ETRI)

Summary • FSK PHY • Adopt basically TG4g MR-FSK PHY • Include reliability enhancing features • Parity in PHR, FEC with K=7, Spreading • OFDM PHY • Add default modes to TG4g MR-OFDM Modes to increase the data rates • Add optional modes using 4x over-clock of TG4g MR-OFDM option 1 to satisfy the data rate of about 10Mbps (ETRI)
