Final Grade The grade in the course will be based on 3, 100 point hours exams, a 150 point final, and 50 points for assignments. If warranted, your lowest exam score will be substituted for your final exam score scaled to 100 points. Philosophy: A low grade on a biochemistry exam is common. What a student has learned is best told by the performance on the final exam. Dropping an exam will give students who“hang in there” the opportunity to make past amends and show what they learned.
Makeup Exam Options A student who misses an exam and has a University-Excused absence or medical emergency may: 1. Use the final exam scaled to 100 points to substitute for the missed exam, or • Request in writing (within 2 class periods) • a makeup exam, place and time decided later.
