Genesis 9 (NKJV) 12 And God said: “This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
16 The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”
Exodus 12 (NKJV) 3‘…On the tenth of this month [Nisan] every man shall take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household.
11 And thus you shall eat it: with a belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. So you shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord’s Passover.
Leviticus 23 6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the Lord; seven days you must eat unleavened bread.
7 On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.
8 But you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord for seven days. The seventh day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.’”
“…you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest. 11He shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted on your behalf;
…on the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. 14…it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
16 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.
17 You shall bring from your dwellings two wave loaves of two-tenths of an ephah. They shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven. They are the firstfruits to the Lord.
‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.
25 You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord.’ ”
(New Living Translation) 27…You must observe it as an official day for holy assembly, a day to deny yourselves and present special gifts to the Lord.
28 Do no work during that entire day because it is the Day of Atonement, when offerings of purification are made for you, making you right with the Lord your God.
30…This is a permanent law for you, and it must be observed from generation to generation wherever you live.
34…‘The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to the Lord.
36…On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord.

James A. Garfield 20th President of the United States
…the cabinet member remarked: "I would be interested to know with whom you could have an engagement so important it cannot be broken?"
Garfield replied: "I will be as frank as you are. My engagement is with the Lord…
…to meet Him at His house at His table at 10:00 o'clock tomorrow, and I shall be there."
Our remembrance of Christ and what He means to us need not be passive • The Father has provided Scriptures that can make our remembrance active and animate
Prior to the first Sunday of every month, let us commit to “preparing” our hearts for an animate time of remembrance
