ACS Alarm system technology • ACS Component/Container hierarchy based on CORBA replaces J2EE Java Beans • IDL interfaces replace EJB interfaces • acsjms implements jms (java messaging system) for ACS on top of CORBA Notification Channel • ACS CDB for storing AS configuration (In future with ARCHIVE?) • Hibernate/Spring/Sonic removed 2nd ALMA Common Software Workshop

Prototype status • Code and configuration: • ACS modules generated from Laser modules • Definition of IDL interfaces • ACS specific code reimplements Laser interfaces • CDB used to store alarm configurations • Runtime behavior • Java components send alarms by means of Laser API • Alarms are reduced in the business tier • Alarms are shown in the (partially working) GUI 2nd ALMA Common Software Workshop

  5. Remaining list • Persistence: • Alarms • User configurations • Refactoring to make easier two-way propagation changes • Complete missing implementations • CORBA Notification Channel usage optimization • Improve the response time • ... 2nd ALMA Common Software Workshop
