International Union of Operating EngineersTraining & Education Center • The International Training Center offers: • 265 acre campus • 8,120 square foot conference space with seating for up to 900 people • 17 classrooms and labs • 12 pad crane field • Simulator rooms • Heavy equipment mechanics shop • Welding bays • Central utility plant with training redundancies • 227 room dormitory, fitness center, and full dining facilities • Proximity to major airports in the Houston area

  6. Future of the Program • April 2018 – The new flagship IUOE Training & Conference Center has become the home of the Program • Our new home will enable us to do more advanced and in depth training. • Enlarge our winching program • Increase our classes

Program Today • Consists of 16 Instructors • The instructors are SME’s in the industry • The instructors are full-time professional pipeliners • Our curriculum consists of 13 different classes • 3 beginner class • 3 mainline winching classes • Sideboom, Angle Dozer, Excavator • 3 mainline classes • Sideboom, Angle Dozer, Excavator • 6 specialty classes • HDD, Pipelifter, Bending, John Henry, Hydro-Excavation, and the Excavation class for existing Hotlines • Classes utilize a fleet of 45 pieces of equipment. • Classes are held 6 days/week, 10 hours a day Highlights – Winching Program

  8. Highlights – Winching Program • Our winching program has increased from only 26 members participating 2016-2017 to over 100 members attending each of the last 2 years. We have been working hard to recruit and train members to safely operate equipment in the hill country. • We will be breaking ground in Boston, KY at the Local 181 training grounds in the fall of 2019 on a brand new shop and classroom building to further enhance the training.

  9. Safety and Awareness The program has been attending various energy conferences around the country to promote our training and the pipeline industry. The goal is to inform various organizations, pipeline operators and contractors that our program is here to help enhance the safety of the industry.
