Pre-requisites • A valid Credit / Debit Card • Minimum $1 balance in the card • A valid E-mail address
Account Setup : Create Account • Step 1 • Go to www.aws.amazon.com from your browser (Google Chrome Preferred, download from https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/ ) • Step 2 • Click on the Signup button (refer to next slide)

Account Setup : Create Account • Step 3 • After clicking on the signup page, you will be redirected to Singup/Login Page • Provide your personal/organizational e-mail id in the space “My e-mail address is :” (Refer next slide for snapshot) • After providing the e-mail id click on “I am a new user”. • Step 4 • Click on the button stating “Sign in using our secure server” Disclaimer: • If the email-id used in step 3 to create the account is already being used for Amazon Web Services, the portal will throw an error stating “e-mail already in use”, thus a new email is required to create account in AWS • If you already have an account for any other service of Amazon, the same account’s credentials can be used to access AWS services, In that case provide the credentials and select “I am a returning user”.

Account Setup : Create Account • Step 5 • Continuing from Step 4, the next page prompts you to enter some details • Enter the details that are required (Name, email-id and password) • Password should be case-sensitive and at least 6 characters long • Click Continue after entering the details • Refer next slide for snapshot
Account Setup : Create Account • Step 6 • The next steps require a bit more personal information • Full Name • Company Name (Optional) • Country • Address Line • City • State, Province or Region • ZIP or postal code • Phone Number (Phone number should be in functional state as you would be receiving an automated call for verification on the number provided)
Account Setup : Create Account Part 2 Type in the character displayed Go through the agreement and check if satisfied Click on the button to continue
Account Setup : Payment Method • Step 7 • Till the last step we have successfully created an account, but in order to use any of the services you have to provide payment information • Now we need to provide credit/debit card details to initiate billing • After providing with the details click continue • To check the functionality of your card “$1” will be deducted from your account at time of registration • For snapshot refer to next slide Disclaimer :Your credit card will not be charged until you begin using AWS, and many of your applications and uses of AWS may be able to operate within the AWS free usage tier. If your monthly usage goes beyond the free tier, your AWS service charges will be billed to the credit card you provide below.
Account Setup : Identity Verification • Step 8 • Till now we have successfully entered our payment method • Next step is identity verification which involves 3 steps • You will receive a call on your registered mobile number
Account Setup : Identity Verification • Step 8 • Sub Step 1 : Enter your country code and mobile number and click on “Call Me Now”
Account Setup : Identity Verification • Step 8 • After clicking on call me know 4 digits shall appear on your screen
Account Setup : Identity Verification • Step 8 • Press the 4 digits on the screen (6372 in this case)on your mobile device when prompted by computer • After successful verification you will be prompted to continue • Press Continue button to proceed
Account Setup : Support Plan • Step 9 • After Successful Step 8 verification, you will be prompted to adopt to a plan as per your requirements • Choose Basic (Free) plan, as it is sufficient for basic learning purposes and press continue
