    2. Support Documents www.kansasmtss.org Kansas MTSS: Innovation Configuration Matrix (ICM) Kansas MTSS: Research Base Kansas MTSS: Elementary Academic Structuring Guide Kansas MTSS: Elementary Implementation Guides School-wide Positive Behavior Support Implementers’ Blueprint and Self-Assessment The ICM provides the big picture of MTSS and provides examples and non-examples of what implementation of the essential components look like in schools. The Research Base provides some of the primary research that supports the principles and practices that are included in the ICM. This document is not a comprehensive bibliography of all research but provides the starting point for anyone wanting to read the research. This document will be updated periodically as new research comes available. The Academic Structuring Guide is a workbook type format that provides an introduction to MTSS as well as a guide in creating the structuring necessary to create a sustainable multi-tier system. This document is currently written to support elementary buildings in their efforts, but it is anticipated that as more is learned it will be expanded to cover secondary as well. The SWPBS Implementers’ Blueprint and Self-Assessment has been developed by the OSEP (Office of Special Education Programs) Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports to assist local and state education personnel in their efforts to improve school climate and positive behavior support for all students.  The Blueprint may be accessed at www.pbis.org The ICM provides the big picture of MTSS and provides examples and non-examples of what implementation of the essential components look like in schools. These services are provided through the service centers and districts/buildings will need to work directly with them to make arrangements. A complete list of recognized facilitators is available on the Kansas MTSS website under training. MTSS Behavior support: State trainers are available through KSDE.  To request more information about training and support in SWPBS, contact Dr. Rachel Freeman: rfreeman@ku.edu or Linda Geier: lgeier@ksde.org.  The MTSS website contains a growing list of behavioral tools and resources that may be accessed to explore a variety of behavioral resources.
