“Don’t Get Bewitched” Galatians 5:16-21, 24
Yet to all who received him [Jesus], to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— (John 1:12) For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. (Eph. 2:8-9)
“… continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose. (Phil 2:12-13)
The acts of the sinful nature [flesh] are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21)
Idolatry: worshipping anything that usurps the rightful place of God. Offering worship to created things instead of the Creator. Witchcraft: (Greek: Pharmakeia): Practicing magic arts; sorcery. Employing demonic power to manipulate situations & play god.
