Course Description • This course provides the top management, or CIO, perspective of information systems. Issues include developing information systems plans in alignment with the organization’s strategy. ISC-445-Fall 2006
Justification for Course • Mature course in the IS discipline that provides the framework for the highest level thinking both conceptually and practically in the academic and professional fields of information systems • Provides capstone-type coverage of material introduced in the introductory course ISC-445-Fall 2006
Course topics include • Relationship between IS and the business • Aligning IT goals and strategy • IS planning • Human resource issues in IS • IT governance, including outsourcing • Assessing IT value ISC-445-Fall 2006
