  29. 6- His Work Though originally an anointed guardian cherub who guarded the holiness of God— after the fall his work is totally focused on opposing God (Zech 3:1)! All out war (Rev 12:17)!

  30. In History • Since fall of mankind and the promise of a redeemer (Gen 3:15), he has tried to thwart the coming Savior (Rev 12:1-5) • Tried to keep Christ from the cross(Mat 4; 16:21-23; 26:36-39)

  34. 7-His Defeat by Christ Satan tried unsuccessfully to gain the last Adam’s allegiance as he did the first Adam’s. But Jesus defeated him: • When tempted (Mt 4:1-11) • In public ministry (Mt 16:22-23) • On the cross (Col 2:15; Heb 2:14) • In His followers’ lives (Col 1:13) • Making his end certain (Rev 20:10)
