  2. Storage Management • E-commerce and E-business applications is growing at a rapid rate - thus, storage management has become a necessary part of IT management. • Ineffective management of storage unnecessarily drives up administrative costs and increasing storage problems.

  3. SAN - Storage Management • SANs put storage on a separate network, where it can be centrally managed and accessed by multiple servers. • SAN’s give you a framework for storage management, but they don’t make storage management inherently easy.
