  6. PATHOGENESIS - THE ARGUMENTS • The public broadcaster as a pocket of corruption, opacity and mismanagement. • ERT costs a lot to the people • In times of austerity there’s no space for selective protection.

  7. AUSTERITY • ERT was a profitable company: • 2010 pre-tax profit: 34 million euros • 2011 pre-tax profit: 56,9 million euros • 2012 estimation of 15 million euros

  8. The closure of ERT will cost approximately 300 million euros
