  4. No-Zone • Do You Know a Truck Driver’s No-Zone? • If You Can’t See a Truck Driver in His/Her Mirror, Then the Driver Probably Can’t See You • These Blind Spots Are Referred to as a Truck’s No-Zone • Try to Stay Out of These Spots When Traveling Around a Truck

  6. Share The Road • Be Courteous to Truck Drivers When Merging, Especially on High-Speed Highways • Extra Time is Necessary for Trucks to Slow and Stop • Leave 20-25 Car Lengths Between Your Car and a Truck When Traveling at High Speeds • Maintain Adequate Speed When Passing a Truck

  7. Wide Turns • Be Careful of Trucks Making Wide Right Turns and Leave Them Extra Space • Your Car Could be Crushed While Trying to Pass a Truck Turning Right • Stay Behind the Lines at Stop Lights and Signs • Extra Room is Necessary for Trucks to Make Turns…the Lines are There for a Reason

  8. Have Patience • Slow Down • Leave Plenty of Following Room • Leave Early for Your Destination to Allow Extra Travel Time to Arrive • Yield Properly

Wear A Seatbelt • You are Responsible for Every Person in the Car When You are Driving • Make Sure EVERY Passenger, Including Yourself, are Buckled Up in the Car • “Seat belts, when used, reduce the risk of fatal injury to front-seat passenger car occupants by 45 percent.” - National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
