Ferritic stainless steel - An Overview

Ferritic stainless steel forms one of the four stainless steel families, the other three being austenitic, martensitic and duplex stainless steels.Ferritic Stainless Steels are generally classified in the 400 series. These are nickel-free stainless steels which contain varying chromium content of 12-18% but a lower carbon content than the martensitic. A special heat resistant ferritic grade contains 26% Cr.

Email id for inquiry - dm@ambicasteels.com

Website - https://ambicasteels.com

Source - https://ambicasteels.com/stainless-steel-grades/ferritic-stainless-steels/
FERRITIC STAINLESS STEELS Complete guide of Ferritic Steels WHAT IS FERRITIC STAINLESS STEEL About Ferritic Steel Ferritic stainless steels are generally classified in the 400 series. These are nickel-free stainless steels which contain varying chromium content of 12- 18%, but a lower carbon content than the martensitic. A special heat resistant ferritic grade contains 26% Cr.The most common specifications are 430, 409 and weldable 12% Cr steels.
