Mechanical seals are used to provide a seal at the point of entry or exit of a rotating shaft. It prevents liquid under pressure from leaking out of the barrel pump and also prevents air drawing into the pump in vacuum conditions.

  1. Different Ranges of Mechanical Seals What are mechanical seals?
