Vice President • Helps shape the organization • Cooperative, professional, great time management • Responsible for managing the website & member roster • Comfortable communicating with members and officers • Working with President on member status • In order to run: wait for email after deadline & Lydia will teach you how to make sign-ups and you must show competence in computer skills Health Occupations Students of America www.txhosa.org

Volunteer Coordinator • Must have great time management skills • Actively seeks out volunteering events and coordinates them with appropriate personnel • Must have access to transportation • In order to run: must find a volunteering event and work with Menna to coordinate the event for members [event has to be planned by the 5th meeting] Health Occupations Students of America www.txhosa.org

  5. Treasurer • Must have pristine integrity! [will have access to HOSA card and bank account] • Money savvy and budget conscious! [find discounts, untaxed instances, and a natural deal hunter] • proactive in UT fundraising events [UIL] • In order to run: wait for Hormazd to email after deadline  will demonstrate ability to find deals and come up with creative ideas Health Occupations Students of America www.txhosa.org

Public Relations • Excellent networking skills • Invite and organize speakers for general meetings • In charge of tabling throughout semester • Create and post flyers / maintain WEL bulletin board! • In order to run: need to create a sample flyer, poster board idea, present ideas for interesting speakers, and ideas for recruiting more members Health Occupations Students of America www.txhosa.org

Competition director • Must want to participate in competitions • Proactive in fundraising for competitions • Good time management, responsible, and be able to plan and coordinate competition meetings • In order to run: Help Naziya with competition details for the remainder of the semester & during competition in April [specific details to come in an email] Health Occupations Students of America www.txhosa.org

Social director • Come up with creative things for members to do • Must be outgoing, creative, and willing to spend weekends planning / participating in events • Money conscious – provide fun but reasonably priced socials! [good at looking for deals & working with treasurer] • In order to run: must attend 3 socials [not lunch with officer or short after meeting socials] / must be done by 5th meeting! Membership Requirements • Dues • $35 for the semester • By 3rd Meeting! • Meetings • Attend 4 out of 6 • Socials • Attend 3 • Volunteering • 15 HOSA hours or 12 HOSA & 6 outside/charity • Fundraisers • 1 large [basketball ushering] & 2 small Health Occupations Students of America www.txhosa.org
