  3. Strip Mall Structural Remediation Problem: Strip mall canopy originally built with insufficient load bearing capacity. Symptom: Canopy pulling away from building’s superstructure and tilting downward creating hazardous conditions from potential collapse of canopy.

  4. Strip Mall Structural Remediation Remediation Work: • Shored and jacked tilting canopy to level position. • Installed 125 ft. of steel beams and columns. • Anchored columns to steel reinforced concrete footings. • Replaced canopy framing with structurally sound framing secured to building’s superstructure. • Replaced existing roof with modified bitumen roof. • Wrapped columns in brick. • Wrapped beams in stucco.
