  2. Relocation and Expansion • Every existing PCA family must be able to continue to come to the new location if they wish to e.g. transportation needs like busing, child care, review school start time etc.. - Questions to Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) e-mail topac@pca.ca

Relocation and Expansion • PCA must be able to finance its relocation and expansion - Lease to buy option - would not be able to negotiate the same deal now due to real estate market price gone up recently - “A Legacy of Learning” Capital Campaign - PCA Promissory Note - We Love PCA Club - PMI support

Relocation and Expansion • There is a great need for Christ-Centred Education that is excellent and affordable - emphasis on Christian based principles that do not exist in public schools even in Catholic schools - becoming an Advanced Placement (AP) school for our High school students - Accelerated Integrated Method (AIM) French Program for our Elementary school students - maintain an affordable tuition

  5. Relocation and Expansion • We want PCA families with pre-schoolers not to have to drive to two different locations. - Early Childhood education is in the planning stage - Also, we want to provide opportunities for families who would normally not send their kids through Christian education

  6. Relocation and Expansion • We must prepare for future growth especially with recent developments among Christian schools • Large outdoor green field for outdoor programs where possible - provide a balanced environment in academic and for physical well beings

  7. 245 Renfrew Drive, Markham • 5.2 acres of land with a 60,000 sq. ft. industrial building. • 2 acres of green field. • This site has a lease-to-buy option.

  8. 245 Renfrew Drive, Markham • Saturday February 28, 2009 – Site introduced to PCA • March 26 – Markham Planning support • March 31 – Markham Town Councillor support • April 27 – 10 + two 5 year Lease signed with option to purchase • May 9 – Open House received more than 60 pre-registrations for 2010 September

  9. 245 Renfrew Drive, Markham • July 10 – Zoning amendment and Site Plan applications submission • July to September and ongoing – Markham Planning review and circulation • September 28 – Comments received for zoning amendment • October 20 – Markham Development Services Committee meeting to approve Public Meeting • Tuesday November 17 – Markham Planning Public Meeting, 7 pm

  10. 245 Renfrew Drive, Markham • December 2009 to early January 2010 – Town Councillor meeting to finalize zoning amendment and Site Plan • Early January 2010 – Zoning amendment and Site Plan completion Working drawings completion, Building permits submission and Tendering process begins • Late January to early February 2010 – Tendering completion
