  4. SETTING • Modern Day – American company building • The basement of the company Reynholm Industries where the IT guys work from

  5. Set in the city

  6. In a basement…

  7. CHARACTERS • Two socially awkward IT guys. • Moss, an electronics wizard and overly naive man • Roy, a lazy disgruntled co-worker • Their inept boss, Jen, that doesn't know the difference between hardware and software.

  11. WHAT THEY GET UP TO • The show revolves around Moss and Roy's antics both at work and out socially, which always ends badly

  12. APPEAL • Intended audience are people who work and are associated with computers • IT Crowd shows “normal” people what geeks get up to and how smart they really are. • You need to produce this sitcom because it has a wide appeal, is very funny and is cheap to create.

  13. First Episode Outline “Yesterday’s Jam” • Jen has a job interview and has lied on her resume that she is competent with computers • Gets a job in IT as their manager • Exposed as knowing nothing about computers • Taken to boss to expose her as a fraud • Doesn’t expose her because they’d lose their jobs too. • Is used to lift IT guys reputation • Fails miserably.
